Stone & Shell

This piece was constructed around a beautiful petrified wood scepter that I found in Montana and then drilled here in New Mexico.  The beads that join the petrified wood are various sizes and shades of Heishi shell beads. The necklace measures 29 inches around, and the central piece measures 3 inches long. At the back, along with the shell Heishi is a single bead of fossilized coral which demands closer inspection. (Its really intricate and I couldnt quite capture it with the camera)
